“ My brother’s first A5 wagyu and Kobe beef experience - and it wasn’t one that lived up to the hype (at least in terms of experience). We managed to secure a reservation online on the day of for a dinner seating, and when we reached 30 minutes earlier, we were asked to come back at the time we reserve our table for (while having our meal, we saw a Caucasian ask for the same but a 1 hour gap and was given a seat). They explained to us the menu and showed us the beef after we ordered, which was an expected step when ordering such premium meats the beef itself was good, melt in your mouth and goes well with their sauce. It definitely was one of the best meat they had but there was a but.. the price point was way too high for our comfort level, at 30,000 yen for 2 pax, there’s only 600g of meat to go by and it’s hardly sufficient.. we also ordered the prawn and scallops set which comes with 7 prawns and 7 scallops for a whopping 5800 yen - definitely the most expensive thing we had so far in Japan in terms of value Decent first experience but nothing extraordinary to say the least. ”

I would highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for very good food at a very good price. They also use a steak sauce that has been in the family since 1955. Chef was kind and was able to prepare a platter separately for our friend with gluten intolerance, which we highly appreciate. “ One of the top teppanyaki-style restaurants in Kyoto. Incredible Kobe, and Wagyu beef that melts in your mouth. Order the Salmon Carpaccio, and Shrimp. The salad is delicious. Take your time. It is an incredible experience. Note, this is not a performance, it is an authentic teppanyaki-style meal. Numerous members in our party stated it was the best meal they have ever had! Enjoy! ”
