“ My brother’s first A5 wagyu and Kobe beef experience - and it wasn’t one that lived up to the hype (at least in terms of experience). We managed to secure a reservation online on the day of for a dinner seating, and when we reached 30 minutes earlier, we were asked to come back at the time we reserve our table for (while having our meal, we saw a Caucasian ask for the same but a 1 hour gap and was given a seat). They explained to us the menu and showed us the beef after we ordered, which was an expected step when ordering such premium meats the beef itself was good, melt in your mouth and goes well with their sauce. It definitely was one of the best meat they had but there was a but.. the price point was way too high for our comfort level, at 30,000 yen for 2 pax, there’s only 600g of meat to go by and it’s hardly sufficient.. we also ordered the prawn and scallops set which comes with 7 prawns and 7 scallops for a whopping 5800 yen - definitely the most expensive thing we had so far in Japan in terms of value Decent first experience but nothing extraordinary to say the least. ”

“ This is a must visit in Kyoto. The food is incredible and the staff is very kind. The food was so good we came back a second time. I would highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for very good food at a very good price. They also use a steak sauce that has been in the family since 1955. A lot of care went into our experience, I will be thinking about this meal for many years to come. ”

“ Amazing Kobe beef and wagyu! each bite takes you to another world. Staff is super friendly and explain the Japanese food and drink etiquette to you! Try the “Tomio sake” you won’t be disappointed! ”

“ Nice ambiance, very friendly service, extremely delicious and well prepared wagyu and Kobe beef. Melt in your mouth!! The sauce is delicious. You are presented the meat before preparing. Chef was kind and was able to prepare a platter separately for our friend with gluten intolerance, which we highly appreciate. We made a reservation ahead of time - I would recommend making reservation if going on weekend or during festival seasons! ”

“ Staff greeted us well from the start and gave us good recommendations. We took the Kobe Beef and Wagyy Beef set for 2 pax (30,000 yen - 600g) and its a big set! My husband and I really enjoyed it! There was only 2 group diners including is hence the atmosphere was great (weekday). Highly recommended and would definitely return when I am in Kyoto the next time. ”

“ One of the top teppanyaki-style restaurants in Kyoto. Incredible Kobe, and Wagyu beef that melts in your mouth. Order the Salmon Carpaccio, and Shrimp. The salad is delicious. Take your time. It is an incredible experience. Note, this is not a performance, it is an authentic teppanyaki-style meal. Numerous members in our party stated it was the best meal they have ever had! Enjoy! ”

“ The food and service were exceptional. We came with a large group but the food and drinks kept coming, and the quality of the meat for the price made it all the more worth it. For a serving of Kobe beef and a wagyu filet it was roughly $120, and I only regret not ordering more. ”

“ Very attentive service & the food quality is fantastic! Strongly recommend that u order lots of rice & add to the grill plate to soak up the beef fats & sauce. Btw we also ordered beef tongue with salt as well as the chicken/pork/sausage set, they are very good too. ”
